Chart notes

DULY NOTED was allowed to settle from the break, was unhurried well behind the field then started a run from the three furlong pole, swept around the field on the turn then bid six wide into the stretch and finished with a strong run under steady handling to prevail. MAGIC CHROME broke well, hooked up with LADY GREGORY on the lead, dueled inside of that foe through the turn and into the stretch, gained the advantage in deep stretch but got caught by the winner in the last jump. LADY GREGORY broke in and bothered GIANT KID then was sent for the lead but was joined immediately by MAGIC CHROME, dueled that rival to the stretch, continued to battle gamely but came up short in a solid effort. CATCH N ANGEL broke a beat slow but quickly pulled into contention, got boxed in from the seven-sixteenths pole to the stretch, steadied near the three furlong pole, found a seam four wide in upper stretch, was finishing willingly under steady handling but steadied yards from the finish. GIANT KID got pinched back at the start then chased two to three wide early, shifted to the inside on the turn got a clear path into the stretch and finished well but was not quite good enough in the late stages. BROADWAY TIGER tracked behind the leaders to the turn then tried to launch a rally from the three furlong marker, came under pressure before the quarter pole, had trouble changing leads at the top of the stretch could not threaten. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
