PRIVATE THOUGHTS set the pace in the two path around the first turn, vied inside down the backstretch and around the far turn then drew off under a drive in the lane. PREVENT rated up close in the four path around the first turn, took a short lead early on the backstretch, vied outside of the winner from there to upper stretch and was clearly second best in the lane. OISHI chased the pace three wide and lacked the needed rally. FREEDOM PRINCIPLE was outrun inside.
