Chart notes
MINARET STATION saved ground well back, rallied in the three path in upper stretch, shifted outside of the leading trio entering the final sixteenth and swept past them late. GOLDEN AFTERNOON bumped an outer rival at the start, pressed two wide, chased the leader while exchanging contact with an outer rival through the lane, bid between horses at the sixteenth pole, wrestled a brief advantage but was outkicked late. CLOCK TOWER showed the way along the inside, was well handled after tossing his head around the first turn, shook clear of an outer presser entering the lane, held sway through midstretch, but was caught with a sixteenth to go. CAVALLO BAY (GB) tracked two wide and between horses, stalked in the three path around the far turn, took aim outside of the top pair entering the lane, chased hanging on his left lead and brushing with an inner rival through midstretch, progressed to bid entering the final sixteenth, but flattened out. WARLANDER pursued from midpack along the inside, then in the two path around the far turn, shifted out entering upper stretch, chased before drifting wider in midstretch, yet stayed on late. GIOCOSO laid off of the pace in the two path, between horses at the half mile pole, saved ground around the far turn, shifted out in upper stretch before changing leads earing the furlong grounds and ran on. WARHEART steadied into the first turn as the leader crossed over, stalked along the inside but gave way through the lane. SIESTA KEY trailed early on, pursued well back in the two to three path around the far turn and failed to factor. REACH FOR THE ROSE stalked three wide and faded around the far turn. PAPIAMENTO was bumped by an inner rival at the start, laid off of the pace three to two wide and between horses, then failed to factor. FLEMING tracked three wide, got keen and taken to the four path around the first turn before having a hind heel clipped by a rival entering the backstretch, then faded around the far turn. BAYTOWN BARACUS raced off of the pace four wide, clipped a rivals heels and stumbled almost dislodging his rider at the six furlong pole, trailed thereafter and got outrun.
