Chart notes
NAUVOO showed the way in the five path entering the first turn then angled over to the two path, saved ground on the frontend on the far turn and was roused at the quarter pole, showed the way clear under right handed urging into the final furlong and held the runner-up at bay. SAQEEL chased three wide then in the two path between rivals, asked around the far turn, drew alongside NAUVOO late and failed to summon the needed late kick to get by. EASTSIDE COOL bumped with inner rival at the start, raced up close on the rail inside rivals, roused leaving the far turn and weakened in the late stages. LOW EXPECTATIONS bumped with EASTSIDE COOL at the start, settled in the two path, stalked three deep in the middle stages, raced wide through the far turn, spun four to five wide into the lane and lacked a rally. MAN FRIDAY stalked the pace four then three wide around the first turn, applied pressure from outside on the backstretch, lost touch with the winner approaching the far turn, chased three deep to the stretch and weakened. WIND NINETY NINE tracked from inside, dropped back off the pace in the middle stages, moved off the rail and went two to three wide into the stretch and had little left for the drive. MOODY JIM (IRE) stumbled leaving the gate, chased in the three path at the back of the pack, raced outside a rival on the backstretch, coaxed along on the far turn then was not persevered with at the quarter pole, eased in the lane and walked off.
