Chart notes
HERMOSO HOMBRE prompted the pace outside, edged to the front at the quarter pole and pulled away driving. ARROW SPEED close up inside, angled out on the final turn, bid then flattened out in the stretch. EDDIE W came in early, set measured pace inside, vied through the final turn then tired. ZOPPI FISCHBEIN steadied into the first turn, saved ground and finished willingly. MELT WITH YOU brushed at the start, chased outside, was put to urging on the final turn and faltered. BACK EAST trailed throughout losing contact with his field and was eased in the stretch. A claim of foul by the fourth finisher against the second finisher for interference into the first turn was dismissed. A claim of foul by the fifth finisher against the third finisher for early interference was also denied.
