RIVER RIDGE laid close up behind the leaders while tugging in the bit early on, split those rivals around the turn to bid passing the five sixteenths pole, forged an advantage in upper stretch and inched clear in the final furlong. MALIBLUE set the pace along the inside, got headed by an outer bidder in upper stretch, yielded with a sixteenth to go and remained clear of the rest. SPINNING HEART laid off of the pace four wide, got floated six wide into the turn, progressed outside of rivals tucking to the five path turning for home, gained show entering the lane and willingly chased the top pair home. GRAND ILLUSION took contact from an inner rival at the start, pressed the leader from the three path, then three wide when the eventual winner made an inside bid around the turn, yielded between horses entering the lane, yet maintained fourth while hanging on his left lead. TIE BREAKER LENNIE bumped an inner rival leaving the gate, tracked along the inside, eased back to midpack nearing the turn, came under urging to chase turning for home and lacked a bid. MASKED MAN was a bit hesitant to load, stalked in the four path into the turn, but gave way between horses turning for home. EARLY MUNNY was bumped by an outer rival at the start, trailed along the inside and got outrun. FLY BY NIGHT leaned into an outer rival leaving the gate, laid off of the pace in the three path before shifting out to the five path into the turn, fanned six deep into the lane and gave way. AFLEET VINTAGE raced at the rear two wide and made little impact.
