Chart notes
LINE OF SCRIMMAGE showed the way in the two path, built a clear margin into the turn, then drew off under a drive. CHUN MONEY pursued from midpack four wide, advanced to bid for place entering the lane, dueled for that position with an inner rival through the lane and narrowly prevailed. SEVEN TAYLORS tracked along the inside, dueled for place with an outer rival through the lane but missed. BIG WALT was a bit hesitant to load, broke a step slow, laid off of the pace along the inside, shifted out to the five path in upper stretch and ran on mildly while hanging on his left lead. AINT NO JOKE pressed outside of the leader early on, chased that clearing rival around the turn, then gave way between horses nearing the lane. CHARBON broke a step slow, trailed around the turn and moved up, then dislodged his rider in the gallop out, but was safely gathered by an out-rider and walked off. SKELLY ROAD leaned out at the start, tracked four to three wide into the turn, then between horses turning for home and faded reaching the lane. NOBLE EAGLE leaned in at the start and broke a step slow, lacked speed in the two path and made little impact. GAME POINT leaned outwardly when the gate sprung then bobbled slightly shortly after the start, raced off of the pace two wide and tired. DEPUTY MISCHIEF chased from midpack in the three path around the turn, shifted out while fading entering the lane and was eased home. PRINCE DAY refused at the start. A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REVIEWING PRINCE DAY'S ACTIONS AT THE START RESULTED IN NO CHANGE TO THE ORIGINAL ORDER OF FINISH.
