Chart notes
TAPIT KISSIT WINIT watched the front duo while in the second tier on the outside, rated kindly, waiting for the cue to go down the backstretch, moved in three wide by the quarter pole, pounced to the lead at the top of the lane, was encouraged left-handed in the two path with an eighth left to run and drew away comfortably for the win at the wire. RUNNER EYES was allowed to settle at the rear, narrowed the gap down the back straight, edged closer three wide midway around the final bend, loomed the main threat in the five path turning for home, was no match for the winner by the sixteenth pole and held safe at the wire to be second best. LAZLO tracked on the inside in the second flight, waited behind the contesting pair tucked in on the fence around the far turn, lost his path on the rail at the furlong marker, angled outside four wide with a furlong remaining and closed in to capture third money while threatening for the place share as well in the end. GOLDEN TEST took this field up front on the fence into the first turn, battled head to head inside for the lead along the backside, relinquished the front end at the three furlong pole, fought back to retake the lead on the rail at the quarter marker, was then collared outside by the winner in upper stretch, offered little resistance and yielded inside foes in the final seventy yards to settle on the fringes. SOL DE VERANO pressed the pace outside into the first turn, moved in closer to duel outside along the backstretch, had a slim advantage outside with three furlongs to go, could not continue on with rivals fighting up front by the quarter pole, was checked in the two-path turning for home and folded in the final furlong.
