Chart notes
CLASSY showed good speed from the start, was left alone on the lead on the first turn, was able to dictate modest fractions to the far turn then quickened from the quarter pole, putting some distance on the rest and was never challenged in the stretch. ZELAIA saved ground and tracked mid-pack through the first half-mile, got closer heading into the turn, was set down from the five-sixteenths and finished willingly under steady handling but came up short. LUVAHAPPYENDING was allowed to settle near the back of the pack, started to advance from the five-furlong marker, took an inside path through the turn, was kept to task and was able to gain the third spot. STATEFOREST was pushed to get forward position from the break then ceded the lead to CLASSY halfway through the first turn, tracked that rival to the far turn, launched a bid from the quarter pole but was outrun in the late stages. CLICKING lacked any speed, trailed the field for most of the race, lugged out on the far turn and was never a factor. HAPPY IS tracked fairly close while racing in the two path, weakened and lost some ground on the far turn then had little to offer in the stretch. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
