Chart notes
DR. HYDE , patiently handled along the inner rail down the backstretch, found room inside horses in the stretch turn, took the lead approaching the eighth pole and lasted. COACHES MEETING , wide the first turn, very wide the far turn was bumped by WASHINGTON'S UNION in upper stretch and rallied outside horses. AWESOME STRIKE trailed to the far turn, raced widest on the turn, floated to the eight path in upper stretch and rallied late. WIRED IN lacked speed, worked between horses through the stretch and flattened out. DUCKPINS prompted the pace outside ADMIRAL'S WAVE and faded the final furlong. SAVE THE KING , steadied when shuffled back soon after the start, raced inside horses the far turn and in the stretch but failed to eally. WASHINGTON'S UNION raced between horses the far turn, bumped COACHES MEETING when soundly bumped and forced out by HOLEY MOLEY in upper stretch then was checked in tight quarters near the eighth pole. HOLEY MOLEY , steadied in close quarters entering the first turn, stalked the pace inside horses down the backstretch, eased off the rail on the far turn then bumped WASHINGTON'S UNION when bearing out in upper stretch. SWEET TRAVELS stalked the pace, three deep down the backstretch and around the far turn, took aim on the lead in upper stretch then faltered the final furlong. ADMIRAL'S WAVE , sent to the early lead, set the pace along the inner rail and faltered. An objection by the rider of WASHINGTON'S UNION against COACHES MEETING for alleged interference in the stretch was not allowed.
