Chart notes
TAZMAN took control on the rail setting a brisk pace, continued to dictate terms up front under a fast tempo while pressured outside throughout the turn, spurted away from the speed foe turning for home, was tapped a couple of times right-handed in mid-stretch opening up impressively by the sixteenth pole and was geared down at the wire winning with a quick timing. SPARKLET had a good position on the trail tracking the contesting duo in the early stages, was shuffled back a position on the fence at the quarter pole, shifted outside in the two path off a tiring rival with a furlong to go and closed in to best the rest when crossing the finish line. CAUGHT SPEEDING shied at the gap for a moment to trail into the backstretch, improved to midfield by the half while shifting outside off a couple off rivals, moved in three wide at the quarter pole, finished up with run but was outkicked late for the runners up share and settled for a clear third in the end. DISSECTOLOGIST hounded the pace outside down the backstretch, took closer order by the quarter pole battling head-to-head on the outside, could not keep up to the overpowering winner by the furlong marker and faded in deep stretch to hold for a minor placing. TODAY co-trailed on the outside at the half mile marker, made no impression going three wide on the outside around the bend, angled out widest in the six path turning for home and passed tired foes in deep stretch. RY PIE broke out on the start, co-trailed on the inside at the half, was urged throughout the turn but made little headway, shifted out four wide for the stretch run and finished up mildly between foes late. SECRET STORM travelled on the outside in the second flight watching the contesting pair, was part of the mix while two wide fighting for a minor role in upper stretch but yielded inside foes at the sixteenth pole.
