Chart notes
QUICKTRIP VAN roused to the front to a pressured lead from SEAHAWK CODY to near the quarter pole where he edged away but was re-engaged by SUBSIDIZE to battled to deep stretch and drew clear in the final jumps. SUBSIDIZE trailed the field to the five furlong marker then rushed to contention from five wide then three wide on the turn and engaged QUICKTRIP VAN at the top of the stretch and fought gamely to deep stretch but couldn't collar the leader and missed the win. SEAHAWK CODY prompted the pace for the first furlong then pressed the pace from the inside to the top of the stretch but couldn't continue to match strides with the leader and gave way late but saved the show. MR. THUNDERSTRUCK was forwardly placed from three wide to the turn then made a mild gain on the leaders but ran into traffic at the eighth pole and angled out to four wide for a rebid to gain late for the show. DRIVEHAPPY raced off the pace while saving ground through the turn then showed late interest but was not a factor. KONA SKYE stalked the pace from four wide to the turn then tucked inside around the turn but was never a threat. COLLUSIONIST raced in the middle of the pack from the two path but had to steady near the five furlong marker and dropped back, made a mild four wide bid on the turn but lacked a rally.
