Chart notes
SASSY LAD prompted BALTASAR from along the outside, took the lead from that one nearing the eighth pole and gradually drew clear. OSPREY was unhurried early, moved forward nearing the quarter pole while racing three-wide, came five-wide into the stretch and closed strongly. BALTASAR saved ground setting the pace under pressure from SASSY LAD, responded when headed by that one nearing the eighth pole and held on well for third. TIE BREAKER was prominent early while racing two-wide, came four-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. DESANTIS saved ground tracking the pace but lacked the needed late response. PISTOL OR SHOTGUN was allowed to settle, came three-wide into the stretch and failed to seriously threaten.
