Chart notes
EIGHT MAY was soon clear of the rest and moved to the inside, showed the way in hand, moved clear when allowed on the bend sand kept PETE'S LEGACY at bay with urging. PETE'S LEGACY without early speed, was just off the rail taking the turn, made a swift move two wide leaving the bend, moved clear for second, could not catch the leader but proved easily second best. RED ROIL broke inward, trailed, saved ground taking the turn, came into the lane just off the inside, altered in for a clear path just inside the furlong marker, surged deep stretch and caught C C RITHMS for third. C C RITHMS raced in the second flight from between horses, was three wide on the turn, carried out some into the stretch and lacked a significant response as he gradually lugged in under right-handed pressure. ANUNKA helped prompt the pace from outside but faded four wide on the bend. BLEEDING BLUE displayed early speed just outside EIGHT MAY, did not stay with that one on the turn, drifted out some entering the lane, quickly faded, altered outside C C RITHMS with a furlong to go and continued to yield. SENOR MIKE was hustled along to race in the second flight from inside but began to fade on the bend.
