BERNIE LOMAX was sent to a clear early lead, soon allowed to relax, encouraged to widen his lead on the bend and upper stretch then maintained full control while ridden out the final furlong. COMFORT ME NOW raced in the second flight just off or along the rail, moved clear for the place upper stretch, was no match for BERNIE LOMAX but stayed unchallenged for second. ONE PUTT RICHIE in the second flight, as well, yielded some from path three upper stretch then could only hold his position late. DISCREET INVASION bumped with MKAR THE FAST at the start, was altered to the inside and only passed inside tired ones upper stretch. MKAR THE FAST bumped at the start, chased from path three or four and was never a factor. D' YANK failed to menace in a wide trip.
