Chart notes
TEAM CAPTAIN showed the way in the three path, received a right handed cue in the two path midway around the far turn, lost the lead to an outer foe at the top of the lane, but dug in bravely along the inside and inched forward in the final sixteenth to get back up at the wire. RAPTURE BAY stalked in the four path, was roused to bid three wide midway around the far turn, took the lead while swinging into the stretch, and ran on, but was nailed by the brave inner pacesetter at the wire to be second best. LAS OLAS tracked in the five path, was driven five wide around the far turn, kept on to bid inside the final furlong, but switched back to his left lead late and hung for show. LOMACHENKO raced in midpack in the two path, was ridden along the rail around the far turn, and finished evenly from the four path in the stretch. ANTILLEAN rated in the three path but made no impact from the five path down the lane. JOE FROM KIEV laid up close in the three path, was coaxed along the rail around the far turn, but faded in the stretch. CHACHARERO pressed in the four path but weakened in the stretch. AMBUSHED trailed in the three path and was never a factor. DIVINING STONE chased in the four path but never threatened. PEYTON'S DAY was wellback along the rail and never menaced. SIR DANIEL refused to leave the gate and walked off. NO CHANGES WERE MADE AFTER THE STEWARDS HELD AN INQUIRY TO DETERMINE IF SIR DANIEL HAD A FAIR START
