Chart notes
GRAND SLAM SMILE was closest in pursuit of SASSY NATURE early, rounded the bend in the three path, drew closer past the quarter pole, bid three deep with a furlong remaining, cleared at the sixteenth pole and held safely over BIG SUMMER late. BIG SUMMER chased from off the pace, moved inside for the turn, tipped two wide around the bend, tipped out across the dirt, rallied under right then left handed urging and finished well for a game second. STAY AND SCAM tracked the pacesetter from along the rail around the bend, drew closer past the quarter pole, tipped two wide leaving the dirt, launched a bid between rivals into the final furlong but got outkicked by the top pair. ANDIAMO RAGAZZA traveled in mid-pack in the early going, navigated the turn two then three wide, got floated out into the lane, summoned a mild rally and earned a minor award. ROSE MADDOX unhurried in the beginning, saved ground along the rail through the turn, moved out at the three-sixteenths pole and improved position. SASSY NATURE sprinted away to a comfortable advantage early, moved inside for the turn, remained unchallenged into the lane, confronted by a pair of rivals with furlong left to run, relinquished the lead midstretch and weakened in the final sixteenth. PRANCINGTHRUPARIS sat off the pace in mid-pack, traveled along the rail around the bend, remained inside to the top of the stretch and lacked a response when called upon. DIAMOND BAR GAL settled between rivals, chased two wide across the dirt and could not rally. CHISMOSA raced near the back of the pack in the early going, coaxed along three deep into the turn, traveled four wide leaving the dirt and failed to menace. REBALATION chased from well off the pace two wide into the turn, moved out for the drive and was never a factor. BACK ON TRACK became fractious in the gate, backed out and reloaded, allowed to settle at the rear, pulled up approaching the half-mile pole and walked off.
