BROKE AN BROKEN unhurried early while dropping back to trail, launched his bid three wide entering the final turn, and closed with a rush three wide in the drive to get up in the final strides. OSTRACIZE settled off the contested early pace while racing one out from the rail entering the backstretch, rallied smartly two wide entering the final turn, and closed willingly two wide from between rivals in the lane to just miss. AVE'S IN COMMAND away alertly and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace in the run down the backstretch, disposed of his pace rival entering the final turn, maintained his advantage into the lane, but was unable to fend off the closers late while drifting in approaching the wire. PARKER POINT away well and was allowed to settle off dueling leaders while racing one out from the rail entering the backside, rallied smartly two wide entering the final turn, and closed determinedly from along the rail in the drive, but clipped heels when put in tight quarters nearing the finiish. RACING RIVER broke sharply and pressed the lead one out from the rail entering the first turn, forced the issue from the outside of AVE'S IN COMMAND in the run down the backside, was unable to keep tabs on his pace rival entering the final turn, and weakened in the late stages. Following the running of this race there was a jockey's claim of foul. The rider of PARKER POINT lodged a claim of foul against the rider of AVE'S IN COMMAND for alleged interference nearing the wire. After review the claim of foul was upheld, and AVE'S IN COMMAND was disqualified from third and placed fourth.
