Chart notes
FASCINATION STREET was unhurried early, a factor on the turn and from the six path at the top of the stretch proved best. MEKO MAKEE set a pressured pace and had a slim lead on the turn but from the four path at the top of the stretch gave way. BACK TO REALITY was off the pace, had a mild gain on the turn and from the three path at the top of the stretch was up for show. M C JACKHAMMER was away alertly and saved ground on the turn but from the four path at the top of the stretch flattened out. GOLDEN WIND showed speed from the outside and forced the pace on the turn but from the five path at the top of the stretch had nothing left. EYE GOT IT GOOD was well back, trailed the field on the turn and from the six path at the top of the stretch was never involved. A STEWARDS' INQUIRY AND A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER ON GOLDEN WIND AGAINST MEKO MAKEE FOR INTERFERNCE THROUGH THE STRETCH RESULTED IN MEKO MAKEE BEING DISQUALIFIED AND PLACE FIFTH.
