Chart notes
SUPREMELY pressed the top pair from the four path around the turn, shifted to the five path gearing up in upper stretch, bid and forged an advantage at the furlong grounds and drove clear. ARTHUR dueled for the lead with an inner rival while kept in the three path around the turn, led narrowly turning for home, disposed of his inner counterpart as an outer bidder loomed a danger nearing midstretch, got headed at the furlong grounds and was second best. HOPPIN JOHN raced at the rear along the inside, took the turn in the three path, advanced between horses in midstretch and claimed show in the final sixteenth. GOOD LIKE MAGIC dueled for the lead with an outer rival whlie remaining a path off of the inside around the turn, came under a drive while getting headed approaching the five sixteenths pole, and gave way leaving upper stretch. STINGY prompted along the inside for a quarter mile, chased the top pair into and around the turn, but faded through the lane. HUNTERTOWN bobbled leaving the gates without being costed forward position out of the gates, laid off of the pace along the inside, shifted to the three path around the turn, moved out to the five to six path in upper stretch, but lacked a bid and yielded late. SOUTH DECATUR pursued from midpack in the five path, floated wider in upper stretch and gave way. PICO D'ORO raced at the rear in the four to five path, fanned to the eight path in midstretch and made little impact.
