Chart notes
TORPEDO RUN was well placed just off the pace, ranged up while shifting from the three path to the five path near the five-sixteenths pole, rallied to the lead in upper stretch, drifted in while moving clear under a right-handed crop coming to the furlong marker, was given one final pop of the crop outside the sixteenth-pole then placed under a hand-ride to the finish while much the best. TRULLI WARRIOR was hustled from the gate, prompted the pace on the outside, was given his cue in the four path on the turn, turned into upper stretch on even terms for the lead, lost touch with the winner approaching the quarter-pole and proved no match while able to hold the place. CONFABULATION moved in while going to the front then showed the way, was asked while inside on the turn, lost the lead in upper stretch and weakened but was clear for the show. BAD BOY BUTCH was hustled from the gate then settled off the pace, went around the turn in the four then five path and lacked the needed response. PUJOL was urged along towards the rear, saved ground on the turn and failed to respond. BOLT D'PLATA was urged along on the outside, went around the turn in the two path and came up empty. CHANGE YOUR NAME was urged along while forwardly placed on the outside, dropped back late on the backstretch, rounded the turn in the five then four path and faltered. MITOLE'S DIAMOND was loaded without the rider, ducked in outside the seven-eighths pole and was taken up, saved ground on the turn and also faltered then was eased in the final furlong but walked off.
