Chart notes
BOSTONTONIAN bobbled slightly at the start, showed the way via a clear margin in the two path around the turn, came under a drive entering the lane, dug in to resist an outer challenge at the sixteenth pole and held firm. COUNTTHEBRAVE chased two wide and between horses into the turn, shifted outside of rivals to track from the four path around the bend, advanced entering the lane, took aim on the clear leader in midstretch, ranged up to bid at the sixteenth pole but was kept at bay late. BLAKE JAMES lacked speed along the inside, drifted out to the four path entering upper stretch and ran on willingly to edge show. GARDINER stalked closest to the clear leader and from the three path around the turn, lost place to an outer bidder entering the lane, then was bested for show in the final furlong. STASHU raced at the rear two wide, swung five wide into the lane and failed to factor. DBOOK pursued from midpack three wide, chased rivals in the three path turning for home, then gave way in the four path and between horses entering the lane. PURSE THIEF was hustled forward to advance inside of rivals approaching the turn, chased forwardly along the inside around the bend, but weakened through the lane.
