Chart notes
VIRGINIA CITY , three wide the first turn, advanced four deep leaving the backstretch, moved up outside horses on the far turn, challenged for the lead in upper stretch, drifted in a bit near the eighth pole then soundly bumped SAND PIPES when drifting out near the sixteenth pole. SAND PIPES advanced between horses leaving the backstretch, dropped back a bit on the far turn, swung wide in upper stretch, rallied outside and was bothered near the sixteenth pole. WE LIVE THIS GAME hugged the inner rail with a nice move on the far turn, bid for the lead in mid stretch and flattened out. SPIN IT lacked speed, was caught behind horses turning for home, swung wide in mid stretch and passed tired foes. KARMA'S INTHEHOUSE , right to the early lead, drifted out leaving the backstretch, was well off the inner rail around the far turn and gave way in upper stretch. WINCHAM raced inside horses throughout and gave way in the stretch run. NORTH SHIP chased the early pace, steadied in close quarters between horses leaving the backstretch, stayed four wide the far turn and weakened. Following a stewards' inquiry and an objection by the rider of SAND PIPES, VIRGINIA CITY was disqualified and placed second.
