VETTRIANO broke in then made light contact with a foe, was hustled to the front then well rated while setting the pace, controlled the action in the two path on the turn, responded well when asked coming to the quarter-pole, remained on his inside lead while under a strong hand-ride in upper stretch, was given two pops of a right-handed crop between the eighth-pole and the sixteenth-pole, remained on his inside lead under a strong hand-ride from that point to the finish and held. WHATCHATALKINABOUT stalked the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, was asked nearing the five-sixteenths pole, chased the winner in the stretch, kept on willingly into the final sixteenth and gained late but missed while clear for the place. AGGELOS THE GREAT was hustled from the gate, dropped well off the pace under urging, went around the turn in the two path, was driven into the stretch in the three path and improved to get the show. ACOUSTIC AVE was bumped soundly at the start while also making contact with another foe then dropped back, settled under some urging, raced between horses leaving the backstretch, went around the turn in the two path, was roused near the five-sixteenths pole, swung four wide into the stretch and lacked the needed response. BIG PRANKSTER came out a bit at the start then bumped soundly with a foe, chased the pace from third position, raced inside on the turn and weakened. EXCELLENT TIMING stumbled very awkwardly at the start and was off slow, spotted the front a few lengths, angled out then moved up on the outside under urging, chased in the four path on the turn, dropped back in the five path into the stretch and had nothing left.
