Chart notes
FORT GRANDE pressed the pace from between rivals down the backside, continued to be with the pace from the rail on the bend while confidently handled, took control in upper stretch while still under pressure and edged away late in the drive. VERNON'S BEST pressed the pace from three wide to the turn, dueled on the lead from between rivals on the bend, took a brief lead near the quarter pole, continued to press the winner through the lane and could not get passed while second best in a good try. INDY'S HOPE reserved off the early pace, rallied four wide into the turn to be on the lead in a three way match at the quarter pole and flattened out in the lane unable to sustain the rally. RUN PANCITA tracked the leaders throughout and failed to mount a closing bid. HURRYCANE DON slow early to be a the rear of the field and passed weaker rivals coming home without ever menacing. MOONSHINE JOE showed speed for three-eighths and was through early. BYRTHDAY BOY was never a factor having been outrun.
