Chart notes
RESIST THE DEVIL unhurried, moved up while angling out through the turn, fanned four wide into the stretch, made a steady gain and drew off late. FIELDER sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, turned back a bid and shook clear into the stretch, then was no match for the winner and held the place. COURT AND SPARK well placed and outside, gained position three wide through the turn, bid on that path into the stretch, weakened late and held the show. GENERAL WINSTON rated tracking the pace, lost some position through the turn, came through inside of rivals into the stretch, was blocked, found room late and could not gain. TONY SMALL ran evenly. HOUSEBUILDER stalked the pace on the outside, held position on the two path through the turn, bid outside the leader into the stretch, then faded the final furlong. CLEMSON TIGER was never involved.
