Chart notes
JAMAICAN TRAFFIC squeezed between horses at the break, was settled just off the inside, roused two wide on the bend, continued her bid in the lane and swept past PLAY TWENTY inside the seventy yard marker. COOKIN ROSES made a small lunge outward at the start, bumping JAMAICAN TRAFFIC, recovered to race in the second flight, moved clear for second just off the rail on the turn, floated out some entering the lane, drifted out slightly several times under left-handed pressure but caught PLAY TWENTY for second nearing the wire. PLAY TWENTY broke on top, was quickly clear of the others, roused from along the rail leaving the bend, lengthened command upper stretch but wore down in the late going. STYLE well back early, commenced her bid while along the rail on the turn, angled out behind TENSE at the top of the lane, angled out further with a furlong to go, surged in the waning yards, narrowly missed third but was easily best of the others. TENSE in the second flight early from outside, did not keep up three wide on the turn, stayed outside COOKIN ROSES entering the stretch, continued to fade, angled in at the eighth pole and had little left. HELEN MAE'S SONG displayed early speed from inside, gave way on the bend, did not respond to urging upper stretch, finished in hand and was walked off after the race. ONACOUNTA quickly faded from off the inside, stayed off the rail and showed little the rest of the way.
