Chart notes
PUNCH IT MARGARET was well placed early on the inside, tracked the leaders on the turn, cut the corner leaving the turn and closed up the rail to get up in time to prove best under a drive. EXPLOSIVE LOVE vied for the early lead inside of QUILLING, then went on to set the pace, drifted a bit on the turn while clear on the turn and came three wide off the bend, then battled between rivals while racing a bit greenly, dug in determinedly and was denied by his barn mate to just miss. QUILLING vied for the early lead outside, then pressed the pace three wide, moved to the two path when EXPLOSIVE LOVE drifted on the turn to move in tandem with the winner, came two wide off the bend and made a bid between rivals but was out-kicked and just missed. MY DETROIT CITY was off a step slow, chased the pace on the outside, made a four wide move on the turn and loomed boldly off the bend but hung in the final furlong. COVE BAY BOY was off a step slow and bumped at the break, then was outrun early, swung five wide leaving the turn and was not a threat. KING PITTHEUS was reluctant to load, was off slowly and out-sprinted early and never factored.
