VERBAL GEYSER (FR) sprinted to a clear lead soon after the start, turned back a bid into the stretch, shook clear, then lasted under steady pressure. MY JANNET allowed to settle, saved ground through the turns, angled five wide into the stretch, drifted in, bumping a rival, then straightened, made a steady gain and missed. AZTEC PRINCESS tracked the pace, saved ground through the turns, came through inside of rivals into the stretch, angled out at the furlong marker for clear racing room and evened out. ISLANDINTHESTREAM hard to rate outside, gained a striking position on the two path through the second turn, bid outside the leader into the stretch, then flattened late and held a share. MARY KATHERINE mid pack, gained position two and three wide through the turn, fanned four wide into the stretch, was bumped and pushed in at the furlong marker and weakened. READY SHE IS ran evenly.
