TARIFA broke out and bumped with a foe then stumbled, was coaxed to the front, showed the way on the inside, was asked near the seven-sixteenths pole then was urged along on the far turn, lost the advantage narrowly to the runner-up in upper stretch, fought back gamely with that foe then dueled to the finish and narrowly prevailed under strong urging. GUN SONG brushed with a rival at the start, stalked the pace on the outside in the two path, turned up the pressure on the far turn, had the rider take a confident peek behind him at the quarter-pole then was asked, took a slim advantage in upper stretch, dueled outside the winner to the finish and was denied while just able to get the place. PRETTY ANA was bumped from the inside at the start while also making some contact with another foe then was pinched back in tight quarters, dropped well behind early, saved ground on the first turn, settled at the back, was urged along while inside on the far turn, swung into the five path entering the stretch, found her best stride in the final furlong and finished fast but was too late and just missed. DOROTHY'S DREAMS moved out into the first turn, raced in the three path on that bend, tracked the pace on the outside, came under some urging late on the backstretch, chased three then four wide on the far turn, dropped back in upper stretch, kept on with good courage in the final furlong and gained to just miss the trifecta. HEADLINE NUMBERS rounded the first turn in the three path, settled on the outside, moved closer while asked in the two then three path on the far turn, dropped back in upper stretch, kept on in the final furlong and gained ground late but missed the trifecta.
