Chart notes
FIVE STAR RUN pressed from just off the inside, squeezed through two wide between rivals into the bend, edged ahead, gradually drifted out as he drew off upper stretch, held a straight path the last furlong and proved clearly best. PERFUMER bumped with OUT WORK'M leaving the chute, moved to the inside early on, picked up his pace on the turn, made up minor ground the last furlong and took over second with a sixteenth left. AFTER MY BROTHER prominent while toward the outside, lost ground four wide through the bend, gained second upper stretch but could not sustain his bid in the late going. U S HONOUR NAP forwardly placed from outside, was widest taking the turn, lodged a mild bid in the lane and improved position. I'M YOUR CAPTAIN was hustled to contest the pace from inside, came off the rail some into the stretch and began to fade. OUT WORK'M bumped with PERFUMER leaving the chute, vied for the lead outside I'M YOUR CAPTAIN but began to yield from between horses early in the turn.
