Chart notes
NEVERFOLD settled in the four path the opening turn then bid leaving the seven sixteenths pole and improved steadily, rounded the far turn in the four and five paths, dueled to the lead mid-stretch and drew off later yards. MY BUDDY DUANE settled close in the three path the first turn, bid nearing the three eighths pole and drew to even terms three wide midway on the far turn, took the nod leaving the eighth pole but was caught mid-stretch and had to settle for second best. RAISE A RUCKUS rated a slim lead inside, came under pressure nearing the three eighths pole and dueled at even terms from that point, contested the edge nearest the rail on the far turn but was met leaving the eighth pole and flattened stride. ON A WHIM rated off the rail the first turn, gave chase nearing the three eighths pole, rounded the far turn in the three path and showed little further. ORANGEBURG stalked two deep then challenged approaching the three eighths pole and dueled at even terms from that point, contested at a close disadvantage two deep while between horses on the far turn but dropped back nearing the eighth pole and weakened in the lane. SCARE DEM showed little response. TIME TO CHOOSE saved ground.
