GIANOLA forwardly placed away from the start, took back off of the decent early pace, roused four wide into the turn, mounted a five to six wide rally into upper stretch, gained ground at the furlong marker, closed with a rush into the final sixteenth, surged in deep stretch and got up in the final strides for a determined win. SIX HOT GRANDS tracked the decent early pace from the inside, saved ground into the turn and stalked the pacesetter approaching the quarter pole, gained ground into the stretch, vied for the lead at the furlong marker then took command into the final sixteenth, dug in while all out in deep stretch, was tagged for the win in the final strides and held for second at the finish. CARDINAL TRICK forwardly placed leaving the start, pulled on the rider in the early going and tracked the pace between rivals heading to the half-mile pole, stalked the pace two wide and between runners nearing the quarter marker, fought between runners into upper stretch, lacked room at the furlong marker, was in tight into the final sixteenth and got up for third in the final strides. LASMUIGH (GB) a step slow away from the start, recovered and chased the decent early pace heading to the half-mile marker, ran in pursuit three to four wide along the turn, loomed at the quarter pole, battled while within range into upper stretch, fought gamely into the final sixteenth, was outkicked in deep stretch and just missed for third. CONEJO MALO prominent away from the start, stalked the decent early pace outside of rivals, went up and pressed the pace two to three wide into the turn, battled into upper stretch, fought gamely into the final sixteenth but could not muster the needed late response. MONSIEUR broke alertly and was sent to the early lead, showed the way to the half-mile marker and led into the turn, was pressed to the quarter marker, dug in while leading into the stretch, kept foes at bay nearing the furlong grounds, grudgingly gave way into the final sixteenth and was outfinished in deep stretch. WINTER SOLDIER slow into stride away from the start, lagged in the early stages and trailed into the turn, swung four to five wide into the stretch and found his best stride late. MAJOR PAYNE took back off of the decent early pace, chased three wide into the turn, lacked a response into the stretch and did not factor late.
