UNPRETENTIOUS a step slow leaving the start, rushed up and was forwardly placed in the early stages, tracked the moderate pace outside of rivals heading to the half-mile pole, advanced into the turn, loomed three wide at the quarter pole and vied for the lead into upper stretch, exchanged bumps with GOIN' SOUTH at the three-sixteenths marker, dueled that rival to mid-stretch, repelled the runner-up nearing the sixteenth-marker and drew clear in the late stages under moderate hand urging. GOIN' SOUTH prominent away from the start, went up and prompted the moderate early pace heading to the half-mile pole, pressed the pace into the turn and vied for the lead at the quarter pole, met the bid of UNPRETENTIOUS into upper stretch then exchanged bumps with that rival at the three-sixteenths, battled to mid-stretch, could not match strides with the winner into the final sixteenth and stayed on to be second best at the finish. SOUTHERN TORNADO settled off of the moderate early pace, chased two wide into the turn, shifted three wide at the quarter pole, outrun into upper stretch, stayed on into the final sixteenth and got up in the final strides for third. SWIFT STEPHAN away in good order, raced close up to the early pace, well placed approaching the turn and chased two wide and between runners into the bend, outrun into upper stretch, needed more into the final sixteenth and was outfinished for third. MAGILLIGAN hustled away from the start, assumed early command and set a contested pace approaching the half-mile pole, disputed the pace from the inside into the turn, dueled GOIN' SOUTH nearing the quarter pole, could not keep pace into the stretch and faded in the final furlong. RAGAZZONE fractious in the gate, was crowded then bumped by an inner rival and away slowly, trailed approaching the half-mile pole, saved ground into the turn and improved position at the quarter marker, swung widest into the stretch and passed tiring rivals late. NO ORDINARY TIGER broke out at the start, bothered a neighboring rival and was off a bit slowly, tracked the moderate early pace from between runners, got caught in tight approaching the turn and was shuffled back at the three-eighths, lacked a response into the stretch and tired. SHOT CLOCK chased the moderate early pace from the inside, saved ground into the turn, was outrun to the quarter pole and came up empty in the stretch. COUSIN THEO a step slow away from the start, chased the moderate early pace from between runners, ran in pursuit three wide into the turn, was outrun to the quarter pole and gave way in the stretch. THE RIDER OF GOIN' SOUTH LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST THE RIDER OF UNPRETENTIOUS FOR INTERFERENCE IN UPPER STRETCH. THE STEWARDS RULED IN A UNANIMOUS DECISION THAT NO CHANGE WOULD BE MADE.
