DOUBLE JAB stepped to the front, moved over to the inside for the turn, met the bid from AFTERNOON NAP at the quarter pole, moved out over the dirt, drifted back inside and bothered LEMON SUSHI in upper stretch, continued on with a short advantage into the final furlong, shook free midstretch and stayed clear under urging. LORD TRIPPING got crowded between rivals shortly after the start, sat off the pace two wide on the turn, steered out over the dirt, summoned a mild rally and got up for second. AFTERNOON NAP forwardly placed in the early going, went three wide into the turn, bid outside the leader at the quarter pole, kept the pressure on into the furlong grounds, got turned away in midstretch and lost second in the closing moments. LEMON SUSHI broke out and bumped rival, raced up close on the inside into the turn, launched a rail bid in upper stretch but got impeded by DOUBLE JAB and had to take up, kept trying in the final furlong and saved a minor award. CHROMEFLASH away well in the beginning, became rank when rated along the outer rail, tracked two to three wide around the bend, moved out across the dirt and lacked a bid in the stretch run. YO TIME bumped a few times with rivals early, tracked from inside into the turn, tipped out approaching the dirt, chased between in the lane and failed to threaten. TRAVELIN' SHOW chased out of range, traveled three deep on the turn, moved out and failed to produce a bid. SUPERNAL got bumped around then checked when losing his path early, moved inside for the turn, angled out into the clear and lacked a rally. TOUCHDOWN BROWN got bumped on both sides then lost his path in the beginning, entered the turn in the two path racing in the second flight, steered out and never got involved. KNOWN IDEA tracked two wide on the turn, climbed crossing over the dirt and could not response in the lane. CHICK'S DIG IT got bumped and lost path leaving the gate, trailed on the inside into the turn, tipped out at the quarter pole, drifted out over the dirt and was never a factor. STAY ON THE FENCE coaxed from the gate, brushed with inner rival then laid off the pace in the early going, moved inside for the turn, steered out to the three path and weakened down the lane. THE RIDER OF LEMON SUSHI CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST DOUBLE JAB FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN UPPER STRETCH. THERE WAS ALSO A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INVOLVING THE SAME INCIDENT. AFTER A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED DOUBLE JAB FROM FIRST TO FOURTH FOR DRIFTING IN AND TAKING THE PATH OF LEMON SUSHI IN UPPER STRETCH, COSTING THAT RIVAL A CHANCE AT A BETTER PLACING.
