Chart notes
LEXINGTON RIVER vied for the early lead, saved ground, pulled away and proved much the best. WITCHOLOGY lacked early speed, moved up on the outside around the final turn, proved no match for the winner, but got up for second. BRANDON'S BEST raced within striking distance, saved ground around the final turn and was outfinished for second. HALF GUILTY lacked early speed, showed late interest, but was no real factor. ASTRONEER void of early speed and passed tired ones. LOUISIANA BARGAIN raced within striking distance, faded and was no threat late. LEROY LOU dueled on the front end and dropped back. TWICE AS SASSI pressed the pace, racing outside around the first turn, dropped to the rear and was eased to the wire.
