MISTER J T was hustled from the gate, established a good position just off the pace, drafted inside on the turn, was asked in the two path at the quarter-pole, made a bid between horses in upper stretch, took a short lead outside the eighth-pole, battled with the runner-up in the final furlong and narrowly prevailed under strong urging. POPPY'S PRIDE was hustled to the front, set the pace under pressure to his outside while off the inside, moved in while shaking clear late on the backstretch, raced inside on the turn, was asked outside the five-sixteenths pole, lost the advantage to the winner outside the eighth-pole, fought on gamely with that foe in the final furlong and just missed while able to get the place. COLD AS HELL pressed the pace on the outside of the leader, tracked in the two path on the turn, was roused outside the five-sixteenths pole, spun three wide into the stretch, battled with three foes into the final furlong, fought until near the sixteenth-pole then was outfinished while just able to get the show. DOT'S DOLLAR chased the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, came four wide into the stretch, made an outside bid near the three-sixteenths pole, fought outside of three foes until near the sixteenth-pole and was also outfinished then just missed the show. POMPOUS PRINCE moved out while urged along off the pace, dropped back leaving the backstretch, angled from the two path to the five path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the six path and failed to threaten. PIPES AND DRUMS was off a half-step slow, raced off the pace while urged along, went around the turn in the three path and lacked the needed response. FIERY HEART broke a step slow, was urged along on the outside, traveled around the turn in the five path and failed to rally.
