Chart notes
WARHEART angled in quickly while going straight to the front, showed the way in hand, dictated terms in the two path through the turn, responded well when asked at the quarter-pole then kicked further in front of his rivals, responded well in the final furlong and proved much the best under steady urging. SUPER SWIFT broke in and brushed the gate, moved up to raced inside the early leader then was eased back and rated just off the pace, rounded the turn in the two path, was asked near the five-sixteenths pole, pursued the winner while remaining on his inside lead in the stretch and was second best. DUMB MONEY bumped soundly with foes near the five-eighths pole, moved up under strong urging then was rank under vigorous restraint, was asked in the three to four path on the turn, pursued the winner in upper stretch and weakened while able to get the show. SHOOT THE NICKEL brushed with a foe at the start, was carried in early then well placed just off the pace, came under urging in the four path on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and lacked the needed response. COLONEL BOB brushed with an opponent at the start, was carried in early, pressed the pace on the outside, was given his cue in the three path on the turn, dropped back in upper stretch and tired. GHOSTLY ROSE bumped with a rival nearing the five-eighths pole while also brushing with another foe, settled off the pace, saved ground while urged along on the turn and came up empty. JOEY MUSCLES bumped soundly with foes nearing the five-eighths pole then steadied, was hard held off the pace, traveled around the turn in the two path while roused, came three wide into the stretch then moved out and also came up empty. EPITAPH was hustled from the gate then carried in early, steadied in traffic near the five-eighths pole then moved to the outside, went around the turn in the five path, moved out in upper stretch and failed to respond.
