SAINT IN THE CITY set the pace tugging and dropping in around the first turn, got headed by an outer prompter with a half mile to go, yielded into the far turn, yet sustained stalking stride around that bend, retook aim on the leaders shifting out to the four to five path in upper stretch, produced slow progress to offer a late bid and was up in time. OSCAR SEASON stalked two wide and between horses, bid around the far turn, forged an advantage in the three to four path in upper stretch, but hung on her left lead and was worn down by an outer bidder late. MERCANTE tracked in the five to four path early on, then three wide down the backstretch, bid three deep around the far turn, failed to sustain pressure while drifting to the five to six path in upper stretch, hung on his left lead before changing over at the sixteenth pole and kept on to threaten again late while securing show. MOUNT HOREB was brushed by an inner rival leaving the gate, pursued from midpack along the inside, sustained a rail chase to vie for show in the final sixteenth but was denied. BERNIN TUNE saved ground off of the pace, shifted out to the three path in midstretch and stayed on between horses. STRIDE broke a step slow while last away, raced at the rear along the inside, pursued rom the three path while off of the pace around the far turn, and chased willingly among foes in the final furlong. BORN FLASHY brushed an outer foe at the start, prompted outside of the leader into the backstretch, forged an advantage at the half mile pole, led as an outer pair of rivals offered bids around the far turn, got headed while battling in the two to three path in upper stretch and faded between horses at teh sixteenth pole. UNLEASH THE POWER stalked along the inside, tracked two wide and between horses around the far turn, swung out to the six to seven path to take aim into upper stretch, but lacked a bid and tired. SWISS SLANG pursued from midpack three wide, chased before floating to the four path into the lane and failed to factor. REAL MEN VIOLIN laid off of the pace two wide, then between horses, shifted out to the five path into the lane and failed to factor. LEAD FOOT raced at the rear two wide and made little impact. HALF DOME (IRE) pursued from midpack two wide and between horses, but was done early, pulled up in midstretch and walked off.
