Chart notes
SKYLANE gradually progressed from just off the inside, moved to the rail midstretch, surged to gain the lead with a sixteenth left and was drawing off in the waning yards. SPIN THE BOULEVARD raced in contention between rivals, advanced three wide on the bend, veered out abruptly to avoid ALL ABOUT TONITE entering the lane, closed well and got up in time for the place. TIZWOW prominent just off the inside, found himself boxed in through the turn, gained a clear path into the lane, altered out trying to keep a clear path outside SPEIGHTIEMAN midstretch, bumped ALL ABOUT TONITE, altered inside SPEIGHTIEMAN shortly after that, had second deep stretch but was outfinished. SPEIGHTIEMAN shared the lead from inside, moved ahead on the bend, was clear entering the stretch, began to gradually drift out nearing the eighth pole and slowly yielded between rivals. CAPTAIN PARTY advanced four wide on the turn, lost further ground fanning out further entering the stretch and found best stride too late. DAPPER DUDE was steadied behind traffic shortly after the start, lost considerable ground widest through the bend and surged late while drifting badly. ALL ABOUT TONITE broke alertly, steadily angled in to vie for the lead outside SPEIGHTIEMAN, did not keep up leaving the bend, was bumped midstretch and continued to slowly yield. SOLOMON VANDY advanced between horses, was three then four wide through the turn and showed a willingness to run late. PETE'S LEGACY did not menace in a ground-saving trip.
