Chart notes
CATALINA COCKTAIL got a shuffled back a bit leaving the start, settled just off of the early pace and tracked two to three wide into the first turn, well placed into the backstretch run, tracked the modest pace outside of rivals heading to the half-mile pole, roused at the three-eighths, mounted a three to four wide bid at the quarter marker and vied for the lead into upper stretch, took a narrow lead past the furlong marker, dug in into the final sixteenth, met the bid of NOTHING IS FOREVER in deep stretch and determinedly held late. NOTHING IS FOREVER settled off of the early pace while never far back, was two to three wide into the backstretch run, unhurried approaching the half-mile pole, chased into the far turn, was blocked nearing the quarter pole and altered course into upper stretch, mounted an inside rally and loomed at the furlong marker, responded to urging and vied for the lead into the final sixteenth, fought gamely into deep stretch and just missed for the win, while besting the rest. SUPER ELLIE prominent away from the start, settled just off of the early pace and tracked inside of rivals into the first turn, well placed into the backstretch run, chased from the inside nearing the quarter pole, bid between runners into the stretch and took command at the furlong grounds, was confronted by CATALINA COCKTAIL and battled that rival into the final sixteenth, was outfinished in deep stretch and was well clear of the rest for third. MASTERY KAT was shuffled back a bit leaving the start, allowed to settle in the early going, saved ground into the first turn, content to trail through the backstretch run while not far back, shifted three wide nearing the quarter marker, mounted a five wide rally into the stretch, could not sustain that run into the final furlong and flattened out. SUNGLASSES (GB) sent leaving the start, set the pace into the first turn while off of the rail, carved out modest fractions while clear through the backstretch, led into the second turn, dug in while leading into upper stretch, was overtaken nearing the furlong grounds and faded in the late stages. SPARKLE SWEETLY forwardly placed away from the start, stalked the early pace three wide into the first turn, kept attendance to the modest pace through the backstretch run, chased SUNGLASSES two then three wide nearing the quarter pole, could not keep pace into upper stretch and tired in the final furlong.
