Chart notes
BELLY OF JELLY laid off the pace inside, was cued midway around the far turn, cut the corner turning into the lane, rallied while drifting out, and got up in the closing stages. CANDY STREET laid up close in the four path, took command in the two path entering the far turn, drew clear while floating out to the six path in upper stretch, but was caught late by an inner foe. HEY RIVER tracked in the five path, was ridden in the three path around the far turn, and kept on from the four path down the lane. THE DOORMAN chased in the three path but made no impact from the five path in the stretch. TEAM CAPTAIN rated in the five path, lost the crop while four wide midway around the far turn, and did not factor. NATHANIEL'S HOPE raced wellback in the four path and did not threaten. WARLORD CRUZAN set the pace inside but gaveway.
