Chart notes
WICKEDDIVINE stalked a hotly contested pace while racing outside a rival, crept closer past the five sixteenths, tipped out into the lane, bid to engage the leader soon after, wrested command near mid stretch, kicked away under a solid drive then was taken in hand through the final yards. MUTT DILLIN , bumped at the break, was straightened and sent hard towards the inside and joined NIGHT PREACHER for the lead, sparred with that one to the head of the lane, could not quite quicken with the leading trio on mid stretch but stayed on well to regain the place. IMPERIAL SPY settled well off the inside and off the dueling leaders, came under pressure past the five sixteenths, shifted out for the drive and closed steadily. NIGHT PREACHER had speed to take a narrow early lead, was joined from his inside leaving the five eighths, vied on a slim lead into the lane, fought on to the inside of the winner past mid stretch then weakened late. BYE BYE WICKED EYE , sluggish from the gate, lagged back into and around the turn, angled three to four wide for the drive and offered some late action. JR SERGIO broke inward and failed to menace. GENERAL MAXIMUS flashed speed then was content to rate off the leaders, stalked inside, gained under a ride mid turn, eased out in upper stretch, failed to go on nearing mid stretch then was eased through the final sixteenth. SPEEDY ALEX , off the pace and outside a rival leaving the far turn, faded.
