GEORGE WHO was reserved early, came four-wide into the stretch then angled in nearing the eighth pole to split rivals and closed strongly. SERPICO R S S prompted the issue while racing three-wide and finished well in a steady effort. HIT BTWEEN THE ICE vied for the lead into the stretch from along the inside and weakened late. SHAME ON WHISKEY was prominently placed while racing three-wide and tired. SPORTS IDOL settled in the middle of the field, came four-wide into the stretch and failed to seriously threaten.
