Chart notes
MARKS PROMISE vied for the early lead, drove clear around the turn, pulled away and won handily. BOURBON SPIRIT challenged on the front end, saved ground around the turn, proved no match for the winner, but held on for second. SAMURAI'S GRANDSON raced near the back in the beginning, split rivals down the lane, made a bid and missed second. BAYOU BEAUX raced within contention, saved ground around the turn, rallied between horsed and finished willingly. TRUVY'S BANDIT lacked early speed, made a late bid and finished gamely. STOMPING HOTROD raced in the middle of the pack, made a wide bid, but was no real factor. ARKANSAS ZONG pressed the pace, raced outside around the turn and weakened.
