Chart notes
DESTINO was bumped at the start, stalked the pace four wide down the backstretch, responded when shaken up midway on the turn, rallied in the four path making the lead at the head of the lane then drew off late under strong handling. CHAMPAGNE MIKE away alertly, set a pressured pace into the turn, shook clear, was headed by the winner at the top of the stretch and just held on for second inside rivals. THE EQUINEST broke outward bumping the winner, was never far back, dug in late four wide and just missed getting up for second. EL BANDIDO failed to menace. GRAND DEAL was no factor. CAPTURE MI pressed the early pace along the inside and weakened on the turn.
