Chart notes
BACK RIVER spurted to the lead from between runners, set the pace from just off the rail, was headed at the quarter pole, retook command kicking away to be just clear at the eighth pole, was kept busy and lasted. DOUBLE RIDE chased from between runners, was mostly three to four wide, bid at the quarter pole putting a short head in front, was promptly turned away in upper stretch but fought on to come again and close late while narrowly missing. YOU AND ME BABY settled in behind off the rail, waited briefly at the quarter pole, angled five wide at the top of the stretch, gained late. CARNEW was coaxed forward inside, chased through the turn, was in range but racing a bit greenly nearing the eighth pole steadying slightly when lugging in, ran on evenly late. IRISH DEPUTY settled outside at the back, advanced five wide on the turn reaching striking distance, lugged in a bit ni upper stretch, weakened. ADAPTED was hard to load, chased racing four wide, asked past the five-sixteenths, weakened. KING PUTT settled at the back off the inside, failed to menace.
