Chart notes
SHOT OF COURAGE stalked in the two path, crept closer in hand in the middle stages, launched a bid through a tight spot along the rail and bumped EIGHT CLAP twice at the five-sixteenths pole, fought inside a pair of rivals late on the bend, emerged with a clear lead at the top of the lane and held LONE SCOUT at bay through the final furlong. LONE SCOUT chased in the four path around the clubhouse turn, drew alongside the top pair at the half-mile pole, fought four then three deep on the second bend, chased the new leader three wide into the drive, finished determinedly through the stretch run but had to settle for second best. SEATTLE BREAKOUT dueled outside EIGHT CLAP to the far turn, fought three deep at the five-sixteenths pole then between rivals in the two path leaving the bend, could not go on with the top pair at the top of the stretch, weakened in the late stages but finished a clear third. LETSHAVEONEMORE tracked in the three path early, coaxed along up the backstretch, rounded the far turn two then three wide and weakened. EIGHT CLAP dueled inside SEATTLE BREAKOUT to the three-eighths pole, came off the rail a bit, got bumped twice by the winner at the five-sixteenths pole and took up shortly after, then retreated down the lane.
