SO CALLED VACATION was hustled between runners in the two path watching the pacesetter in the initial bend, chased inside down the backstretch, tracked inside a runner through the last turn, angled out in the five path to be in the conversation at the top of the lane, finished up mildly, gradually gaining on the tiring frontrunner late and held for the show money at the finish line. NIGHT STRIKER travelled three wide on the first turn keeping a close eye on the leader, tracked outside down the backstretch and through the final bend, was in the thick of things six wide turning for home but evened out late to settle for a minor placing in the end. ONE LAST KISS was away alertly leading on the fence loping along taking this field into the first of two turns, quickened the wind aided tempo up top along the backside, still was moving well dictating terms up front on the last turn, began to get leg weary clinging onto the lead four wide in mid-stretch, did not switch leads until late and faded in the last sixteenth. ARRAKASTA IZAN travelled four wide outside foes in mid-division in the first turn, advanced three deep along the backside, edged closer closing in on the far turn, angled seven wide in with a chance straightening out for the drive, shifted in off rivals to the four path in the mix at the furlong marker but could not continue on and levelled off in deep stretch. BLONDINA'S BOY was situated on the rail near the rear in the early stages, offered a brief run commencing at the three furlong marker travelling three wide until the quarter pole in the four path moving the winner to his inside, angled out in the seven path at the top of the stretch but had nothing more to give down the lane. DESROCHERS broke in at the start, tracked three wide between horses in mid-pack on the first bend, improved outside three wide down the back straight, was scrubbed on for more but was going the wrong way with five sixteenths from home and in the two path in the stretch drive could not play a role in the late stages of the race. QUANDALE was brushed between horses on the break, travelled between foes in the two path mid-division in the first bend, made no movement along the backside, could not quicken with others dropping back with three eighths from home and could not get into contention in the two path driving to the wire. TROPICAL GETAWAY settled on the rail in the third tier in the first turn, travelled inside foes on the rail in midfield along the backside, came under a ride at the half but was being passed by runners, could see the field with three eighths remaining and failed to menace three wide between foes in the stretch. MANALUCIUS travelled three wide on the first turn ahead of only the eventual winner, settled in last three deep at the half, made little impression on the far turn and could not get involved five wide in the stretch running. GENTLE PERSUASION had a good spot sitting behind the frontrunner into the first turn, could not maintain forward position on the rail in the backstretch at the five eighths pole, backed away abruptly on the fence midway around the last turn and was not a factor in the stretch drive.
