Chart notes
BAD LINEAGE saved ground racing well back from early contention, bid nearing the three eighths pole and improved steadily through the backstretch, raced in the three path on the far turn, took over passing the eighth pole and dug in determinedly to hold off ZIGGY STARDUST through the stretch, while the latter stalked from the three path, closed to the lead approaching the five sixteenths pole and raced at the rail on the far turn, was met past the eighth pole and reluctantly ceded in the duel through the stretch. DEFIANT GIANT ducked out leaving the gate then saved early ground, left the second turn outside and gave chase leaving the three eighths pole, entered the far turn about the three path then angled to the outside toward the head of the lane and finished evenly for third. PRIME SHOPPING was shuffled back leaving the gate then settled off the rail, eased out past the half mile pole and gave chase from the seven sixteenths, rounded the far turn in the four and five paths and weakened in the lane. DENIZETTI rated the pace inside, was pressured and dueled from the half mile pole but gave up the lead at the five sixteenths, dropped back at the quarter pole and weakened near the rail on the far turn. RIVER MALBUMOONRVF stalked off the rail then dueled into the backstretch, was shuffled back approaching the quarter pole then faded at the rail on the far turn. The Stewards reviewed then rejected a claim of foul against the rider of Ziggy Stardust for alleged interference nearing the quarter pole, lodged by the rider of River Malbumoonrvf.
